LCTKD is a martial arts organisation born at the London Chinese Community Centre, at the heart of London's Chinatown, in 2005, and owned by Chief Instructor and co-founder, Neil R. Hall. It still holds public classes at the Chinese Community Centre, and now also teaches in The Cotswolds, Warwickshire and Worcestershire in England, and has associate classes around the world.
LCTKD began as London Chinatown TaeKwonDo, and became LCTKD in 2008 as it broadened its work from the Korean martial art, TaeKwonDo, to many other arts, and began to open classes outside of Chinatown. LCTKD now teaches TaeKwonDo, Tai Chi, Ensodo (a specialist art for older students), Kickboxing, DFS (a specialist Algerian art), and the zen-inspired Japanese sword art, Mugai Ryu. It also gives private instruction in other martial arts, specialist self defence, and subjects related to martial arts.
The LCTKD Shop provides uniforms, equipment, training aids, and leisure wear for martial artists world wide, provides books and downloads to help your martial arts learning, and offers a range of courses and private tuition.
People who are students of LCTKD can also buy LCTKD uniforms, and pay various fees through the shop.
You can find out more about LCTKD, the martial arts it teaches, and related safety and wellbeing services it offers, at its main website, www.lctkd.com.
Because of its established infrastructure, LCTKD has entered into agreements to be the host shop for organisations with which it has a close connection. These include the world-wide Institute for Advanced Integrated Martial Arts (IAIMA).
You can also find music from Drew - who as well as being a fine musician, just happens to be one of our LCTKD Directors.
