Join us and learn about Qigong in the most wonderful setting of Batsford Arboretum in the Cotswolds, near Moreton-in-Marsh, as seen on BBC's Countryfile. The Arboretum is the home of two of our most popular Tai Chi classes, and has hosted many of our Tai Chi workshops under the beautiful trees.
Now, there are a number of strictly limited places available on our Qigong for Health and Wellbeing course.
Aimed at beginners, and suitable for the over 60s*, no previous knowledge of Tai Chi or Qigong is required.
The course will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, 11th August.
It's difficult to imagine a better setting for Qigong, and at under £29, including entrance to the Arboretum for the morning, it's incredible value.
The course will be taught by our Director of Internal Arts, Neil R. Hall, in the Arboretum itself, and if the British weather doesn't allow that, we can take cover in the Arboretum's new education centre.
Follow your session with lunch in the restaurant, and continue to enjoy fabulous views over the Cotswolds.
So book now to secure your place, or contact us if you'd like to know more.
Some things to note.
Qigong (or Chi Kung) is a gentle art related to Tai Chi, but with rather less movement, and a more direct emphasis on the flow of Qi (or Ch'i) and its healing quality. The course will introduce Qigong, teach some basic exercises including the 8 Pieces of Brocade, and Dragon and Tiger Qigong, and if time allows standing post Qigong.
The course can be treated as a one-off, if you want. You can learn the movements and use our books and on-line resources to continue to study at home. Or, if you'd like to do more, your tutor will explain how to carry on with Qigong through our Tai Chi classes - there's even a fortnightly class at the Arboretum itself!
When you book, we'll send you details about where to meet, what to wear, what to expect, and all that sort of thing. We'll also happily answer any questions you have.
If for any unforeseen reason the course does not go ahead, your course fee will be refunded in full.
LCTKD Teaching Assistants, Assistant Instructors, Tutors and Instructors can book on to this course at a discount, by using the pull down menu - and for Tutors and Instructors, your automatic shop discounts still apply!
*You do not have to be over 60 to join the course. Though it is designed to be suitable for over 60s, everyone is welcome.
